We play a joyful, eclectic brand of jazz and pop that stretches across the years, genres and age groups, so now you know you are going to please everybody at your party or wedding. But that doesn't mean we're not going to rock it up at your pub or club either. The Band likes nothing better than getting the joint jumping (or whatever the modern equivalent is) and getting on down is mandatory at a Lemongrove gig! A nostalgia freak with diverse interests and musical tastes. Musically inspired by people as polarised as Ella Fitzgerald and Led Zepplin. Drives old cars, wears old clothes, sings old songs, tells old jokes. |
jan evansDrums
The powerhouse behind the band. A big band drummer with a big band sound. Jan has played with the best of them, and he knows how to whip up a beat. |
sonny james lovellGuitar
Has been playing for more years than he cares to remember. Luckily he always remembers the notes, but sadly not where the car keys are. An old rocker at heart but has moved on and become a fine exponent of jazz . . . you can still see his roots though! |
